It can be hard to see directly behind large off-road and utility vehicles, which increases the risk of reversing accidents, equipment damage, or injury. In remote areas or busy worksites, losing mobile phone reception can also make it impossible for vehicles to communicate in real time.
Rear vision mirror monitors and high-definition cameras help drivers see behind the vehicle, removing blind spots when reversing or towing. UHF radios and strong antennas let you talk clearly with others, even when there is no mobile coverage.
Having experienced technicians do the installation means the work meets all safety rules. Their careful approach protects the vehicle’s wiring, electronics, and interior panels, so the manufacturer’s warranty stays valid after the job is done.
The team at Adventure Additions installed a GME XRS-375C UHF radio, GME antenna, Safety Dave mirror monitor, and camera in the INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster.
They mounted the GME antenna firmly on the outside of the vehicle for the best signal, running the cables neatly into the engine bay and cabin through sealed openings. Inside, they placed the GME XRS-375C radio behind the dash and set the handset within easy reach for the driver, connecting it directly to the dashboard controls.
For the rear-vision system, the team attached the camera to the top of the rear canopy so it could see clearly over the tailgate. They ran the wiring through weatherproof channels to the front cabin. The Safety Dave seven-inch mirror monitor was fitted over the original rear-view mirror, with power connected through protective fuses.
Finally, the technicians soldered all the wiring connections, added protective covers, and tested each system carefully to make sure everything works well, even in tough conditions.
After the installation, the INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster has reliable radio contact and a clear view behind the vehicle. All cables are hidden behind the panels, and any holes made are sealed to keep out water and dust.
