Challenge

Driving on busy roads or leaving your vehicle parked can lead to risks like unnoticed damage, unclear liability, or vandalism. Standard rearview mirrors do not record and often have limited visibility, especially if cargo or a canopy blocks the rear window. Utility ute owners often struggle to get full video coverage of both the front and rear without adding clutter or blocking the driver’s view.

Solution

The Wolfbox G900 Pro 12MP WiFi Touchscreen Dash Cam solves visibility and evidence problems. It replaces the standard rearview mirror with a digital widescreen display and records from both front and rear cameras, giving drivers clear coverage and reliable monitoring.

Having experienced technicians install the system is important for safety and to protect your vehicle and its accessories. This also helps keep your warranty valid. Skilled installers connect the dash cam directly to the vehicle’s electrical system without affecting airbags or interior trim. They use proper fused connections to protect the car’s electronics from power surges, so your factory warranty stays safe.

Execution

At the Adventure Additions Braeside Facility, technicians started by mounting the main touchscreen unit neatly over the factory interior mirror. They secured the Wolfbox G900 Pro display inside the cabin using special mounts that reduce vibration.

The team ran the front power cables along the headliner and down behind the A-pillar trim, making sure to avoid the airbag areas. They hardwired the power harness into the interior fuse block, using dedicated fused taps for ignition power.

The extension cable for the Wolfbox G900P was routed down the side sills and into the rear canopy area. They mounted the high-definition rear camera on the inside of the rear canopy frame to provide a clear view behind the vehicle.

The team set up the digital touch display, checked the camera angles, adjusted the loop recording settings, and tested the reverse trigger functions.

Results

The 2023 Toyota Hilux SR5 Dual Cab left the shop with a fully installed Wolfbox G900 Pro dual-camera system. All wiring is hidden behind the factory trim, keeping the interior tidy. The digital mirror gives a clear view behind the canopy and records high-quality video automatically when the ignition is on.

The Wolfbox G900 Pro is a dash camera system with two lenses. It has a 12-megapixel front camera, a high-definition rear camera, WiFi, and a full touchscreen rearview mirror display.
The system records high-quality video from the front and rear while you drive. It shows a live rear camera feed on the mirror and automatically saves footage if it detects an impact.
This dash cam gives you clear video for insurance claims, removes rear blind spots from canopy loads, and lets you download videos wirelessly to your smartphone using WiFi.
Dual cab utes with rear tubs or canopies need longer cables to run wiring neatly from the front windshield, through the floor sills, and to the rear canopy frame without putting strain on the wires.
Professional installers use low-voltage cut-off protection in the wiring, so the dash cam turns off automatically before the battery gets too low to start the car.
