Installation Process:
Adventure Additions removed the original 12-pin trailer plug and installed a 50-amp Anderson plug. Heavy-gauge wiring was run from the vehicle’s battery to the Anderson plug to safely handle the higher current. The team routed all wiring neatly along the trailer frame and secured it using durable, weather-resistant fasteners. Marine-grade components were used throughout the installation to ensure long-term reliability and durability. Once installed, the system was tested under load to confirm full power delivery and operational safety.

Results:
The AL-KO braking system now receives a consistent 50 amps, allowing it to function as designed. Braking response is more precise, and the driver noted immediate improvements in control when towing.
