Challenge
When towing a large caravan, it’s much harder for drivers to see behind and beside their vehicle. The size of the trailer creates big blind spots. Standard mirrors often don’t provide enough visibility to watch traffic or reverse safely in tight spots. Without a camera system, drivers can miss obstacles or hazards hidden by the caravan.
Solution
The Safety Dave Rear Vision System gives the driver a clear, high-definition view of what’s behind the caravan. A monitor clips over the existing rear-view mirror, so the driver can always see the road behind the trailer. This digital mirror helps with driving and reversing.
Having experienced technicians install this system in a high-end vehicle like a Porsche is important. They make sure cables are routed correctly and all parts are safely connected, so the car’s electronics stay safe. Professional installation also keeps the warranty valid and protects both the car and the new equipment.
Execution
The Adventure Additions team began by planning the best way to run the cables from the dashboard to the rear bumper.
Duration
The entire installation took about two and a half hours at the Adventure Additions Braeside Facility.
Results
The 2023 Porsche Cayenne now has a reliable rear vision system that solves the blind spot problem when towing. The wiring is hidden, and the connection point is easy to reach at the rear hitch. The driver can now tow with more confidence and safety.
