12 Volt Dual Battery Installations are often necessary after vehicles are altered from the factory configurations. In this case, this Toyota Landcruiser changed the rear seating configuration to accommodate a drawer and storage unit in the vehicle’s rear. The vehicle was subsequently sold interstate, and the vehicle needed to be put back to the original factory seven-seat configuration to comply with local vehicle regulations and re-certify the vehicle as roadworthy.

The shop that was charged with removing the rear drawer and storage system and re-installing the rear seats opted to refer the client to Adventure Additions (AA) to inspect and re-install the 12 Volt Dual Battery System and install the Victron 12 V to 12 Volt DC Charger. After a lengthy inspection of all the existing wiring, the technicians at AA determined that the remediation of the electrical system would require all of the wiring, connections and electrical panels to be replaced to ensure the vehicle’s electric system was functioning perfectly and was completely safe.

This comprehensive rewiring ensured that the vehicle’s dual battery system and overall electrical configuration were fully functional and met safety standards, offering the vehicle owner peace of mind.
